Re: Blogging, it's been a minute
It's been a minute...12 days, to be specific, since my last blog post. The pressure to share something has grown by the day. So has the guilt of not sticking to it. The feelings of failure...as if it's even possible to fail at personal blogging!
My old "content creator brain" has taken the lead lately, and to be honest, makes it hard to think of anything "worth sharing". So then days go by, a couple weeks...it's easy to just not write.
Then Robert Birming's recent post jolted me back.
I think part of my absence is because I do not want to write about writing. I don't want to blog about blogging. I want to resist the temptation to write about Bear Blog and how much I hate Facebook/AI/etc... to hit that sweet spot on the Trending page.
No, I want to write about my niche interests. As Lizzie's Thoughts wrote in her latest blog post, hearing about people's niche interests is very interesting. I agree, I would very much love to read about obscure interests. I'd love to read about other people absolutely geeking out over the same things I do.
And I'd like to write more about that.
There...a blog post. Now was that so hard? Next time (let's shoot for a couple days), I'll geek out about something very niche and interesting to me. Maybe you'll like it.
I'm not even going to go back and read this, or else my "content brain" will tell me to hold off on posting it. =D
